1.Prophet Ibrahim and the Fire

I kept this story at number one because it’s my Son’s favorite. And I asked my 4 year old son what his favorite story was and he said Musa (walay salaam🤷🏽♀️) and fire. I said – do you mean Ibrahim (السلام عليه)? 😅 Maybe you all already know how Ibrahim (السلام عليه) was thrown into the fire and came out unscathed when the fire cooled for him.

It is in a hadith: When (the prophet) Ibrahim was thrown into the fire, he said: “Allah (Alone) is sufficient for us, and he is the best organizer of affairs. It was the same with the Messenger of Allah Muhammad (ﷺ) when he was told: “A great army of pagans had gathered against him, so fear them. But this (warning) only increased him and the Muslims in faith and they said, “Allah (Alone) is enough for us, and He is the best Crusher (for us). [Bukhari]

Now whenever my son scares, I remind him to say HasbunAllah like Ibrahim did (السلام عليه).The other day my 1 year old daughter ran out of the house and I sent the 4 year old girl behind her. She scared so she was screaming hasbunAllah as she ran after her sister 😅 Then I saw her come back with a 1 year old girl in the arms of alhamdulillah. This is a little phrase to teach children when you tell them the story of Ibrahim (السلام عليه). It will help them take control of their fear (It’s not that the fear will go away completely. Fear is necessary for our survival. But the phrase helps the fear not to overwhelm you).

2. Leyla the sparrow

Leyla the sparrow It’s a very beautiful story, told from the point of view of a bird whose children he deeply loves. It is based on the following hadith: Narrated by Abdullah ibn Mas’ud: We were traveling with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). He went to calm down. We saw a bird with its two cute cubs and we caught its cubs. The bird came and began to spread its both wings. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came and said: Who has mourned his little ones? Give him back his babies … [Sunan Abi Dawud]

3) Abdul Qadir’s treasure

It is an enthralling story of the famous Islamic scholar of the past – Abdul Qadir Gilani, who travels to Baghdad for wisdom and knowledge. It’s a story of truth and value – how a son kept his promise of truth because his mother asked him to never lie. 40 gold coins were sewn into his fabric on the side of his armpit and when he is robbed even though thieves can’t find anything with him he tells them the coins are in his armpit as they ask him what he had allowed to fight. for your property, but it was a great lesson because the leader of the band of thieves is getting on the right path thanks to his truth and tawakkal Allah.

4) Salman the Persian

This is the story of a Sahabi – companion of the Prophet (ﷺ) – Salman Farsi (رضي الله عنه). How he came to Islam after thoroughly studying many religions. A boy who had traveled so long that he had become a man halfway. Sometimes the trip was easy. It was often difficult. But the guy in this story kept moving forward, and eventually he won his award and found Islam – the truth.

5) The ants and the Prophet

It’s a fascinating story – told from an ant’s perspective – Jamal and Jameelah (2 ants) who get stuck in the fire after not listening to their father, but are ultimately rescued by their father (ant). It is based on the following hadith:

Narrated by Abdullah ibn Mas’ud:… ALLAH’S MESSENGER (ﷺ) saw a village of ants that we had burned down. He asked: Who burned this? We replied: We. He said: It is not correct to punish with fire except the Fire Lord. [Sunan Abi Dawud]

6) About The selfish monkey

Whenever my eldest daughter doesn’t want to share anything with her little sister, she tells me “I don’t want to share like that monkey in Miraj’s story” and I ask her – “So what has the monkey got? learned from the Prophet? – who has shared things with others. ”I tell him, sharing is not an obligation, but sharing also brings barakah in your affairs – which means that the happiness you get from your business becomes double 💕 even if it doesn’t, it increases in quantity, it increases in quality thanks to the blessings we receive from sharing.

And then the children apply it to me when I sit in the corner sipping my coconut juice 🙄 4 year old girl: “I love sharing it with us (her and her sister) for more barakah” Me: I drink more sips until their little feet reach me 🤣 Seriously, we have to shape the behavior we want children to adopt. So I share and, to be honest, bring barakah because we are all full with the same coconut anyway 🤷🏽♀️

7) Nasruddin and the pumpkin tree

It is the story of the same father (Nasruddin), his son and the donkey that went on a picnic. Nasruddin wonders why Allah put pumpkins on the ground and nuts on the trees. So she imagines a pumpkin tree and quickly realizes that the pumpkin that would fall on their heads would be a disaster. It’s a good lesson in how we sometimes fail to see a bigger picture of life. When future incidents reveal how it turned out for the best, we realize how foolish we have been for not trusting Allah’s plan.

8。A Ring LOST

Once a young man lost his ring. He went to look for it under the luminous lamppost. Others who saw him desperately searching for a missing link came to help him.

When no one could find the ring, people asked him if he was sure they had dropped the ring there. He said, “No, I lost it there” and pointed to his house.

Furious, people asked, “So why are you looking for it here?”

The young man, trying to appear clever, said: “Because it is dark where I lost it, and this place is shining with light!”

Everyone thought he was a fool and told him to go get the ring where he actually lost it.

What we can learn from this story is that if our success lies in preparing for the hereafter, we are too busy looking for it in this world. If we spend our entire lives seeking nothing but success in this world, we will soon be leaving empty-handed and not taking anything with us.

9. A Mother’s Advice to Her Disfigure Son

Muhammad ibn Abdurrahman alAwqas was born with a physical defect. His neck was inside his body and his shoulders protruded as if they were two spears. His mother, realizing that his appearance could attract ridicule from others, said to him: My son, you will not be with people unless you are the ones who laugh and laugh. So, about you is the pursuit of knowledge, because it will really make you grow. So he sought knowledge.
Muhammad ibn Abdurrahman alAwqas listened to his mother’s advice and was diligent in seeking knowledge. He worked hard and was appointed judge of Mecca for twenty years. People admired him because of his knowledge and ignored his physical appearance.

Her father, a cook, takes her into the kitchen, fills 3 saucepans with water and sets them on high heat.

“Dad, look at the trees that go by behind us!”

While his father was smiling, a couple sitting nearby watched the boyish behavior of the 24-year-old with pity when he suddenly exclaimed again …

If you surrender while it is winter, you may omit the promise of your spring, the splendor of your summer, success of your fall. Don’t allow the ache of 1 season damage the pleasure of all of the rest. Don’t decide existence with the aid of using one hard season. Persevere via the hard patches and higher instances are positive to return back a while or later.

14. The Tale of Two Frogs

A group of frogs were happily jumping through the forest and doing their frog business when two of them fell into a deep well. All the other frogs gathered around the well to see what could be done to help their companions. When they saw how deep the well was, the rest of the group, terrified, agreed that it was useless and told the two frogs in the well to prepare for their fate as if they were dead.
